You’ll love it here.

The atmosphere of a space is of the UTMOST importance to me. If you love soft lighting, uplifting colors, lots of plants, the smell of lavender, and cozy velvet couches, then you’ll love this space. My client’s often tell me, “I love it in here! It’s so welcoming!” My other love, besides being a therapist, is building beautiful, intentional spaces where people feel both comfortable and intrigued.

Starting Therapy: What to Expect

Hi! I’m Carley.

Whether you’ve been to therapy before or this is your first time considering it, starting with a new therapist can feel daunting. Here are the first three steps to getting started.

Step 1: Schedule a Free Virtual Consultation

Click the link below to set up a free 15 minute virtual meeting with me. Here, we will briefly discuss what concerns have prompted you to seek out therapy. This is a great opportunity to gauge if you feel comfortable with my personality and approach. We will discuss details about starting therapy together such as your desired frequency of sessions, how you plan to attend (in person or virtual), and fees.

Couples: If you intend to begin couples therapy, both partners need to attend the consultation call.

Step 2: Complete Paperwork

Individuals: If you’d like to work with me, I will send you an email invitation to access the client portal. Here, you will need to complete some paperwork so I can better understand your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. If you are unsure about your goals, that’s okay. We will work on this together if it is unclear for you.

Couples: Both partners fills out separate paperwork. Partners do not have access to each other’s paperwork.

Paperwork typically takes people 15-20 minutes to complete.

Step 3: Attend Intake Session

Individuals: Our first session is all about painting a picture of your life. I will ask questions about your main concerns but we will also discuss your goals for therapy, and your personal history. My approach is trauma informed so I am patient and open to however much you feel comfortable sharing.

Couples: I meet with both partners first. I then schedule an individual session with each partner so that I can learn more about you as individuals. By the fourth session, we all meet together again from that session into the future.
