Complex Trauma
People with complex trauma (C-PTSD) have the challenge of recovering from a broken sense of trust in others and may feel that safe relationships are a fairytale. People who struggle with C-PTSD often resonate with these feelings…
They feel lost, in part, because relationships feel so difficult to navigate. They find it difficult to feel safely connected with other people and may often dissociate and be emotionally distant. Masking their true feelings and pain is a daily occurrence. They have always felt like an outsider with others. Hyper vigilance is constant and they spend much of their time scanning their environment to assess safety risks.
Learning about your complex trauma can be transformational. Often, my clients feel validated in unparalleled ways once we can discover and name the isolation and loneliness they feel trapped within.
